Greg Hewlett passed away on January 17th after nearly eight years of battling colon cancer. While we grieve his loss, we are comforted to know that he is with his Lord.

One of my cousins just finished the Appalachian Trail. She lost about 30 pounds in the process. I understand that this is typical; her mother told me that the few men who get to the end turn out looking like concentration camp victims and the few women who get to the end turn out looking like Xena the Warrior Princess.
If this guy really does it he is a complete and total stud. He would be even if he had two flesh-and-blood legs.
My only question is, how does he plan to charge up at night?

It was a mistake to let me see what someone is doing with your bionic leg. You're going to have to give me strokes in our next golf match. Also, did Christine tell you I want to teach you to fly fish(not catch, just fish). No more excuses now that I've seen this article.
All I can say about tommorrow is put God in the Pilot's seat, lean back and and leave the flying to Him and think about fun things, vacations with Chris, golf, you know what to do.

My name's Scott Rogers, and am the subject of the Assoiciated Press article that ran back in September of '03. The Appalachian Trail Hike begins on March 22nd in Georgia at Springer Mountain.
With regard to my nightly charging plans, Otto Bock has fabricated a solar charging system for me to test. I tested it during the LHT hike in June '03, but it rained incessantly for 4 days, so the solar charging system didn't work. Since then, I received an emergency battery backup charging system to use in the event that I encounter more rain.
