Finished round six

This morning I took the last of my Xeloda chemo for this round, completing round six. I'm not what you would call productive these days, so I consider completion of a round of drugs to be a major accomplishment.

I am now at a point of only being mildly sick and my strength from surgery is still steadily gaining. I will be in Houston meeting with Dr. Hoff and Dr. Rodriguez-Bigas on Thursday. There will be some minor tests, but this should be an uneventful trip. The next round of chemo will begin next Monday, assuming all goes well during my evaluation Thursday.

Christine continues to struggle with a bad season of migraines, so she will remain home.

An accomplishment indeed!! (especially in view of what all you go through to reach these milestones! Your poetry is masterful and is such a great way to communicate the depth of your experiences.) Glad you are gaining strength. Your perseverance is inspirational. Thanks be to God for His love and powerful care for you. With continued love and prayers for you and Christine.

My husband Paul and I have been reading about you. Paul and I go next week to MD Anderson and meet with Dr. Rodriguez-bigas. You have given us hope and a comfort with the words you have written. Paul has stage 2 or 3 rectal cancer. I will continue to monitor this site. May God Bless YOU.

Greg,
We read your entries with anticipation,as though sometimes we are looking to you for strength to get through our trials and tribulations.
I can tell those days that you are so tired and weary;yet you continue to write so others can gain from your humour and wisdom .
Bless you my dear--and may Christine,s headaches disappear!
Love in Christ,
Dan and Syd
