Lined up

face.jpg As they line me up for radiation, I often contemplate life. Thinking, for example, of the words of Ecceleastes:

What has been will be again,
what has been done will be done again;
there is nothing new under the sun.
Is there anything of which one can say, "Look! This is something new"?
It was here already, long ago; it was here before our time.
There is no remembrance of men of old,
and even those who are yet to come
will not be remembered by those who follow.

You are so funny. And/Or so is your photographer!
Amos 3:11 says "Therefore, thus says the Lord God, 'An enemy, even one surrounding the land, Will PULL DOWN your strength from you; And your citadels will be looted.'
They may have looted your citidels, but don't let them touch your tower.
Hey, nice sideburns by the way.

Dear Greg and Christine,
Solomon! Oh Solomon, what he experienced and what he wrote down..... may be that is why he had yet to win my respect. He and his father...Uh!!!
To be remembered by men or not is not important. To be highly esteemed by God is what matters.
For men in general are selfish and self seeking. That is why Jesus said, woe to you, when all men spoke good of you, that is how thy treated the false prophet of the past.
As much as I despised King David for what he did to Uriah and Uriah's wife, I finally come to realize that why God never gave him up. The secret that illuminated me was David's heart. For most of his life, he had his heart in the right place. For he had actively sought after the heart of God, and for sure, did accordingly to what he sought out. So apparently, the focus of David's attention was constantly on God and on the interest of God. I think that is why God honored him and loved him despite his shameful and humanly unatone-able sin. David had to be saved on credit by the blood of Jesus. I don't see how David can ever face Uriah in eternity, less he is covered all over in the blood of Jesus.
I wonder if that is what is meant by "A man after God's own heart." I wonder Greg, what is your take on the verse "A man after God's own heart", would you share on this subject?
May His blessings and healing hand be upon you.
Henry
