I'm having a no hair day
I've been noticing my hair falling out. The irinotecan has a knack for doing that. I decided I'm not going to keep brushing hairs off my desk, picking them out of my food, fretting about whether the thinning is noticeable, etc. I'm not going to give the chemo that pleasure. So I cut it all off. Chemo is my servant, not the other way around.

Even though I can't/don't want to join your club, I remain your sister in Christ. You're right, chemo is your servant and you are God's servant and that's enough.

This post would tempt one to take stock in the famous saying from worldly-wisdom that "you can't keep a good man down." Two great gifts you've been given for coping in this trial are evident: (1) the wisdom that the chemo is your servant, and (2) your great sense of humor. This is great, Greg! Love it!
You have knack for looking good like a Howard Hendricks or some other brilliant theologian.
Since I'll never be mistaken for a brilliant theologian, I'll keep what I have left for now.
Greg, Please accept my application for the club. My rationale is slightly different, however--due to inconsistencies in my cosmetological topography. In inform all inquirers that I am not a Nazirite, I am just evening up my 'do. Otherwise I am genetically predestined to sport a "horseshoe" or a "Colonel Klink." Refusing to save up for a comb-over (or "bar code" as the Japanese call it), I respond to those who've asked me if I've gotten a hair cut, that I've gotten all of them so shorn. It's not all bad, though. Like the old bumper sticker used to read,"God made only so many perfect heads; the rest He covered with hair."

Dear Greg: Whack it off if you please. I can't bec. I'm under a Nazarite vow not to cut it. But I will have to cut it soon and forfeit the great strength the long hair has brought me. No more carrying off city gates for a while. And i resist the temptation to avenge myself on the Phillings (stations) in Gaza or elsewhere when my hair grows back. Praying for you daily.
