The Struggle Has Ended

Round five

Tuesday, I began round five of the irinotecan. We added Avastin to the mix, hoping for some additional effectiveness. I'm having to rest a lot, but seem to be doing a bit better than the previous rounds. They unhook me today. The next two days are typically the roughest, but I think I have a good start here.

I have some new members of the no-hair club. Pictures coming soon.

Rice is once again in the College World Series. They are seeded #2. Would be fun to go if I were healthy. Maybe next year.

I am so glad to hear round 5 is not too bad. It was great to see you in the CTK office looking so good. Thoughts and prayers are of you and Christine.
In Christ,

Greg, how I do appreciate your updates and I share with Robin and Rhonda as they love you as I do (both you and Christine). As you always do, hang tough and know that God cares so much for you. Hoping as you say that this round will be easier on you. Go Mavs tonight and also good wishes for your Rice team. in His great love and mercies. martha g and family.

Greg, glad to hear that you are feeling okay going into this round. We are thinking about you and Mati is ready for his next visit to Texas! Mia includes you and Christine in her list of people she loves, although she has a hard time saying Christine!

GH-
Sorry I missed you last time 'round. Been praying for you. My son James and I went to game three of the Super-Regional (only lasted three innings because James is three and it was close to 100 degrees at Reckling). Nonetheless, it was all beautiful. Pulling for Rice to do it again and solidify their place as a premier college baseball program. I can't believe I just wrote that.
Grace,
PGR

You are climbing Jacob's ladder.
You are climbing Jacob's ladder.
You are climbing Jacob's ladder.
Soldier of the cross.
Every round goes higher, higher.
Every round goes higher, higher.
Every round goes higher, higher.
Soldier of the cross.
Jacob wrestled all night with the angel of the Lord. The angel knocked Jacob's hip out of joint but he would not let go. When the angel pleaded to be let go, Jacob refused saying, "I will not let You go unless You bless me!
As you continue to wrestle with the cancer and the treatments, I pray that you will hold fast to your faith and determination. And don't let go until He blesses you!
