Al Groves
I grieve the loss of Al Groves, who was a good friend to me. He was diagnosed with melanoma recurrence and left us within a year. He supported me when I had cancer and he did not. Then he encouraged me while we both did. Now, I will miss him.

I will likewise miss him. We served together as elders at an Evangelical Synod Presbyterian church many years ago and I was humbled by his support of me. He encouraged me to preach a sermon once in the absence of our pastor. That was the first and last time I will do so despite my many years of public speaking. He loved film and had hundreds of videos and used them to teach about Christianity and culture. He was a gem. He still is.
I received WTS mail today. I am so sorry to hear that Al has gone to the Lord who is praised for resting Al forever. I miss him. I am so thankful for His classes (OTHT2, Prophets) that became foundation for my exegetical work on sermon. His smiling face and generous tone transmitted so deeply to my heart and soul.
We are sorry to hear about your friend. But, praise God we will see our loved ones again. For that we are so thankful to the Lord.
Maria
