Greg Hewlett passed away on January 17th after nearly eight years of battling colon cancer. While we grieve his loss, we are comforted to know that he is with his Lord.

My wife's brain tumor removal (just the surgery + hospital stay) was "officially" $60K. Blue Cross somehow "negotiated" that down to $12K, of which they paid $10K. $2K ain't pocket change, but neither will it bankrupt me.
This includes none of the diagnosis or follow-up, of course.
Half the country is one medical emergency away from insolvency. It's madness.
