More cautious optimism
The CT scans are mostly clear - no definitive evidence of cancer. And the blood marker, which indicates cancerous activity, is normal. However, there are a few very small nodules in my lungs that were of some concern. They want me back in 6-8 weeks to scan again. These are not the same spots as a couple nodules that showed up a couple years ago but since disappeared. I asked Dr Hoff, who has seen hundreds of patients in remission, if such spots typically turn out to be cancerous or not. "More often than not," he said, "they turn out to be nothing."
Of course, I would have liked more certain results - but I learned a long time ago that there is no certainty with cancer.
Certainty must be found elsewhere.

I will continue to pray that they are indeed nothing. Gay
Greg, we've been looking forward to your update and are glad to hear that things look mostly clean. We'll speak with the King about those spots on the lung. Give our love to Christine and Dulce!
My father had spots on his lung almost all his life thriugh age 85. Caution yes but there are other things, many benign, beside cancer.
I certainly pray it's going to be nothing.
I'm preaching to the choir, but it's between the islands of rest that your soul is made, even if your body is unmade. Greg, you are my sherpa shaman to the spirit world.
Amen
Praise God from whom all blessings flow! The news is great. You keep the faith and the Lord will keep you.
We're proud of your patience. I'm trying to use you as a wonderful example.
Greg, I was extremely glad to see the end of the Dr. Hoff quote after my stomach bottomed out on reading the first part. We're all continuing to pray for your health and your continued psychological strength in dealing with this. Congratulations on such great results!
Greg,
Sounds like a very positive report. We are certainly hopeful that these spots will "turn out to be nothing" also. You are an outstanding example of courage.
We think of you and your folks often. Hopefully we will see them this summer in Springfield.
Our love to all,
Eunice Wallar
Bless you.....
