The Struggle Has Ended

Greg Hewlett passed away on January 17th after nearly eight years of battling colon cancer. While we grieve his loss, we are comforted to know that he is with his Lord.

Meeting with surgeon Thurs morning

We will meet with the surgeon, Dr. Rodriguez-Bigas, first thing Thursday morning. Long term, it is important that we surgically remove this tumor. From speaking with his R.N. today, I am thinking he is going to bring up all the risks (there are many) and question whether it is worth it. However, he does like to say "I never say never and I never say always." I think he may be willing to do it. At least I sure hope so.

One other note. His surgery schedule is full all January. So the earliest that surgery is possible, should he be willing to do it, is the first week of Feb.

Greg, I will be praying for both you, especially on Thursday. God's timing is always right, so the first week of February sounds as good as any. But maybe His schedule is sooner!
You have been a stalwart example of faith in action. May He continue to give you strength to witness to God's grace in your life.

The sooner the better; gives you more recovery time so we can kill some snakes!
PS: I thought Plano was bad! You should (actually should not) see Lucas, my daughter's new location. Its fit only for Coyote and infidels. In fact it might be the proverbial doorway to hell, not the western coast of France as I used to believe!
